Our MSc course in FORENSIC COMPUTING will serve the growing demand for specialists in this area and the increasing number of students with interest in the subject areas. The course is suitable for graduates and/or professionals wishing to enhance their undergraduate studies in computing or engineering with advanced study of forensic science techniques.
The course is run in collaboration with the training department of Forensic Science Services and the West Yorkshire Police. The course has direct links to current employers and careers, and fits with the University mission to 'contribute to the excellent record in employable graduates'.

We would normally require you to possess a good Honours degree (2:2 or above) or an equivalent overseas qualification, in an area relevant to their proposed programme of study and from an approved degree awarding body.
If you have lesser academic qualifications but have substantial (approx. 5 years) relevant work experience, your application may also be considered.
Candidates applying to the course with non-standard qualifications will be judged on an individual basis using the University's APEL procedures.
In addition, if your first language is not English, a test of written and spoken English normally needs to have been passed at grade 6.0 for IELTS (with no subtest below 5.5) or for TOEFL (87 for the Internet-based test).
