BSC (Hons) ICT WITH MARKETING
Information and communications technology is central to modern marketing in terms of both gathering and utilising consumer information and effectively communicating marketing messages to targeted audiences. This programme is run in conjunction with the School of Management, and in addition to the core ICT subjects you will also cover key marketing-related issues and topics such as marketing management and strategy; business marketing; retail and services marketing; consumer behaviour; direct marketing; product innovation; and managing creativity in marketing. Graduates from this course are equipped to develop ICT careers within marketing, advertising and public relations.

General admission requirements for the course are 240 points (including Mathematics and English GCSE at least at C grade). A science related topic at A/S or A level is desirable. Entrance requirements will vary but are set after consideration of each applicant's academic background and achievements and all other relevant experience.
Applications are welcome from candidates with non-standard qualifications or who, lacking academic qualifications, have significant relevant experience. Alternatively, you may join this course following successful completion of one of the School of Informatics Computing, Informatics and Media's Foundation Year programmes.
Direct entry to the second year of the degree is possible for those with a very good HND or a Foundation Degree (FdSc) in a suitable subject area or equivalent.
In addition, if your first language is not English, a test of written and spoken English normally needs to have been passed at grade 6.0 for IELTS (with no subtest below 5.5) or for TOEFL (87 for the Internet-based test).
